Student's guide to Chester's Study spots

When University deadlines are approaching, I often struggle with procrastination. However, I have discovered a helpful strategy to overcome this. By going to the University campus library or a nearby coffee shop, I can avoid distractions and focus on my work.

If you need to escape the hustle and bustle of Uni-life, here are a few locations I recommend you go check out.

200 Degrees:

One of my favourite study spots is 200 Degrees. The dimmed and ambient lighting, combined with the old-timey decor, creates an ideal atmosphere for essay writing and exam preparation. You can indulge in one of their many drink options or baked goods, and take advantage of their student discount. If you prefer not to wear headphones while studying, don't worry, the shop plays music that provides the perfect white noise to help you stay focused.

Naughty Badger Bistro

"Naughty Badger Bistro" is a hidden gem located on the rows down Bridge St. It's an ideal place to escape from distractions and enjoy people-watching while working. You can easily spend a whole day here with their variety of food and drink options. If you visit Tuesday through Friday, you can enjoy their lunch deal that includes freshly prepared lunch and a drink of your choice for just £12. On the other hand, if you have a sweet tooth, they have a cake offer available every Monday to Friday. They cater to everyone's tastes, so it's definitely worth a visit!"

Flowercup

The Flowercup is a botanical-themed café located on Watergate Street. Its bright and vibrant atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for a productive study session! The affordable menu consists of fresh and locally sourced produce, perfect for students who want to get stuck into their work. If you need to fuel yourself for long hours of study, be sure to check out their all-day brunch menu. Whether you choose a popular classic or one of their unique specials, you are guaranteed a hearty meal that will prepare you for the day.

Garden Social

Garden Social is a cosy coffee house located on Catherine Street. Its welcoming atmosphere and friendly vibe make it the perfect place to unwind or study. The shop is conveniently located just a ten-minute walk from the University of Chester campus and is close to many of our accommodation options. So why not stop by and experience it for yourself? While working or relaxing, you can tuck in into their selection of breakfast dishes, bakes, and toasties, paired with one of their delicious specialty coffees. Their attentive and friendly staff will make you feel right at home, so don't hesitate to say hello!

In addition to offering great coffee and food, Garden Social also hosts community events like their big summer bash or comedy night. So why not take a break from studying and check out what they have to offer? Remember, balance is key!

If you are looking for a change of scenery from your accommodation, I highly recommend checking out these places! Finding a good study spot can make a big difference in your attitude towards work, so be sure to explore these hidden gems in Chester and make the most of your time.
